Omar ibn Al-Khattab Charitable Society held an awareness lecture on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, titled “Breast Cancer and the Importance of Early Detection.” The lecture was delivered by Ms. Suzan Yamin in cooperation with the Jordan Breast Cancer Program, one of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation’s programs. The lecture aimed to raise awareness about prevention and the importance of early detection. Topics included screening methods, risk factors, symptoms, and the stages of disease progression. Attendees who wished to undergo a mammogram were also offered referrals for a free screening. The lecture is part of the Society’s ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and preventive practices, recognizing that knowledge and early detection can help protect health and save lives.
