Omar ibn Al-Khattab Charitable Society Holds Free Medical Day in Zarqa

As part of its humanitarian mission and commitment to serving the community, Omar ibn Al-Khattab Charitable Society / Orphanage held a free medical day on Saturday, 1 August 2026, at its headquarters in Zarqa Governorate. The event was held under the patronage of the Acting Governor of Zarqa and in cooperation with Al-Istiklal Hospital, Dar Al-Dawa Development and Investment Company, Sheikh Noah Association for Relief, and Arab Sky Channel. The event was attended by a number of officials and guests, alongside a team of doctors, medical staff, and volunteers. It also drew a large number of residents from Zarqa and neighboring areas. The Acting Governor of Zarqa praised the Society’s leading role in serving the community and commended the efforts of its staff, volunteers, and supporting organizations. He noted that initiatives like this reflect the values of social solidarity and collective civic action, help ease the burden on citizens, and contribute to improving the services available to them. At the conclusion of the event, the Society held a ceremony to recognize those who contributed to its success. Society Chairman Mohammad Suleiman Samara presented a token of appreciation to the Acting Governor in recognition of his patronage and continued support for humanitarian and community initiatives in Zarqa. The Society also recognized its supporting and partner organizations: Al-Istiklal Hospital, Dar Al-Dawa Development and Investment Company, Sheikh Noah Association for Relief, and Arab Sky Channel. It thanked the medical teams and volunteers for their dedicated work in serving visitors and supporting the event.
